Will it show the incoming call number on the nav screen? Assuming voice activation works?

Basically, I'm not with the times as far as in car phone works. ( I never hooked up in my bimmer due to cost).
I just want to be able to make and receive phone calls through the nav and speakers by saying, "call so and so".

Anything I need to be prepared to be disappointed about? :ohno:
The real good technology seems to have appeared in '06.

You probably would come out cheaper and it would be a lot easier to install an aftermarket system. If the car wasn't equipped with it, then you wouldn't be able to make it integrate with the current system at all. You can replace the stereo/nav unit with an aftermarket one that has everything built in and has newer technology. That, or just get a bluetooth speaker system installed that integrates with the speakers in your car. Personally, i'm purchasing a new stereo headunit myself to gain bluetooth, so it'll be less devices added to the car. I have a bluetooth speaker that just clips on my visor and it's horrible.

I'd buy the car you want if you can - vs trying to retrofit one that's older. I looked in to upgrading our '05 G to the '06 bluetooth and it looked way less easy than I had hoped. You can compare the two by looking at their service manuals... www.nicoclub.com/FSM/
