Can I install an earlier year Altima Throttle Cable on my 2000 Altima?

I am getting desperate to find a Throttle Cable for my 2000 Nissan Altima GLE. Could I use another year's throttle cable on my 2000 Altima in place of the Throttle Cable Part #18201 9E010? Any advice would be much appreciated.

you have the 2nd Generation Altima... so anything from 1998-2001 should work

Trouble is, that's the same part for '98~'01, so it's out-of-production for all model years. Even Amayama shows permanently out of stock. The best bet with unobtainium cables like that is to have a motorcycle custom-cable shop restore it if possible or re-create it if not.
