If it is raining that hard where your visability is poor with the wipers on the fast speed you might want to consider pulling off the road and waiting until the rain slows down a bit?Why risk an accident in a $40k vehicleI also see vehicles that refuse to turn on their headlights in heavy rain even though it is the law in NJ when wipers are in use If its not the law nationwide it should beWAldenIV wrote:I have an '07 G35X. Is there any way to increase the speed of the wiper blades? I would like the current fast speed to be my slow speed. I want my fast speed to be faster than it is.
I love the car and I have very few complaints about it, but the speed of the wiper blades is not up to par. I've never been happy with the fast setting. It simply isn't fast enough to keep the windshield remotely clear during hard rain. It's also slower than most, if not all, other cars that I've driven.
I also love the windshield washer nozzles. The are awesome. Love how they put it under the hood. Nice clean hood line and it won't freeze at winter time.Poyzinous wrote:its because you have the new blade design. Aerodynamic, and equalized pressure with solid structure. I LOVE the new blades. Shame I can't get it to fit on my sedan...
Trust me, the fast speed on my G is much slower than many other cars. It's not my travel speed, either. I'm going to have to try Rain X again. The blades are new; they were just replaced 2k miles ago. I've never been satisfied with the wiper speed in moderately heavy to heavy rain.smockers83 wrote:Blade speed is fine by me. Try some RainX and if you're driving when you can't see out your windshield when it's raining, you're just plain driving too fast for conditions.
Or try moving your lever down a notch or two and you'll get the really fast.
