any reason not to do it the traditional way? that way looks kind of sketchy.. it would probably work though, just possibly not as well as having the reg. on the rail.

first off, the stock regulator is still there. itll probably leak everywhere. second, how the hell is the fuel coming back from the rail? i only see one line. third, that regulator doesnt even look like it would be in a position to work. it goes: feed to rail, return to regulator, then from regulator back to tank.

Well the way i looked at it was that the fuel pump will fill up the rail and the fuel lines between the rail and FPR and then build up pressure. The excess pressure will be bleeded off by the FPR and then sent back to the Tank. To me it is the same concept as having it at the end of the fuel rail. Also the stock fpr does not leak i already tested it with it not hooked up does not leak. I just wanted any opinions if this was a good idea or not. I am sure its functional, but maybe theres something im not seeing.

Thanks

Stop it guys. You're gonna make me delete all of your posts and put of flowers and there is nothing I hate worse than you fools making me do my job. SO QUIT IT!!!

OP: In answer to your question, no, that won't work. If you want to use an aftermarket FPR instead of the NISMO unit you'll need to get the NISMO adapter that bolts onto the fuel rail in place of the stock FPR and allows you to use a remote FPR like you are trying to do.

Do it right the first time or you'll do it right later on down the road...

You know I love you Tim!

Chris, I love you too, but be nice to the newbs. You weren't born knowing everything and IIRC, you just recently mistook a loose power steering tensioner bolt for rod knock, so ease up....

cant you just bypass the stock fpr, but leave it there? its job is to not let fuel pressure get below a certain point (36psi), but it doesnt really regulate it above that right? couldnt you just run it w/o a vacuum line and hook up an aftermarket job after it set to a higher base pressure (say, 40psi)? then in theory the fuel pressure would be at whatever you set it at with the external job. im not sure how it would work, but it might get you by until you get that adapter in. anyone want to tell me i'm an idiot?

regulator is a restriction, it keeps pressure.

It depends on the regulator you're using. Some require that you leave the stock FPR on there, but those are usually the ones you see with cheap turbo kits.

I would be concerned about flow reduction running through 2 regulators...
