semi new here, i lurk, but never post.
i figure, i have some neat stuff on my car and its come along way, so i need a build.
(hopefully this forum is chill with that, because ive been to some others and they are not new member friendly. im talkin like if you arent some s13 master you dont get s*** and if you havent made a mag everyone scoffs at you.

hoping this will be a little more friendly here.

this is my s13.
i want a coupe, but i guess ill settle for my hatch for nows

please excuse my noobiness on some topics, and any strange questions i ask

2 years ago, i knew nothing about building cars. no automotive backround here.
i figure, ill build this 240sx to be beast, and learn my way around doing it.
its nice to have a car you can do whatever to, and not have to worry about payments, resell value, breaking something, or anything of that nature

so here it was
chilling on the lot
1991 s13 240sx hatch (fastback, liftback, whatever the **** you wanna call it)
5speed SE (electric locks, windows, interior lights everywhere, pretty loaded for 91

didnt look like much, but did come with a lovely, freshly partially built and swapped in, sr20det redtop bored out to 86.5 (weak, dont know why the **** youd stay that small when your already doing the work why not go balls out and sleeve it too, more work for me...

so i brought it back around to my side of town, 5k poorer missing my lovely stack of cheeze i just spent

sadly i dont have pictures of the sound deadening, but this car was gross as all hell inside, only had the front of the interior.
frotn seats, door panels, dash etc and some dirty a** ******* carpet.
so i removed the seats that were destroyed, took out the carpet, and scraped the sound deadening.
being a noob, i was unaware that you could dry ice it and have it out like that.
so i sat in the car in the arizona sun in may scraping out the sound deadening with a chizel and mallet. then razorbladed it, sanded it, and painted the interior glossy white again. i have no ac, so i figured the white reflecting sun waves would help keep the car cool.
so heres the janky a** interior put back in the freshly rattle canned interior so the car would be mobile again.

so i realised, this car is just sitting here, waiting on all kinds of stuff, so i asked myself, why am i paying insurance for a car a dont want to drive yet?

so canceled my driving insurance and rented a storage unit (well flip flopped order i did not drive uninsured)
however the battery decided to go out so i had to jump it and i was off

so i havent checked fuel level, but the gauge doesnt work

then

i decided i wanted to stop some rattles and make it handle nice plus i want an lsd, 5 lug, new axles, the works
so i hit up the junkyard, and got this fer 100

complete rear subframe (i started taking apart befroe the pic)
now i can do bushings, paint it, and get all new arms, brakes etc.

got an assload of scrapes and cuts
and swore up a storm
but got this in right finally lol
100% custom has not been polished, hence the almost oxidized look
it will pop 110% better once i get around to polish

so now, if photobucket would work, i would post where im currently at.

got a carbon glovebox and shift bezel in, new oem shift boot, stock pass seat, custom done in black,
got my carbon gauge bezel finished (with a custom g37x button start that i need to wire) did a led swap in my cluster, figured out how to get my abs light gone, did the manual seatbelt conversion from a jdm silvia coupe and scooped some tomei procams (270 12.5 lift) nismo transmission mount (hopefully fix shifter) and some tails+red vinyl. im doing the altezza thing with red vinyl over the top as antirice percautions until i can afford some kouki tails

eventually i need to post up a list of whats on the car, and as soon as the sponsor that did the dash gets a little less on their plate, (they s*** busy) ill provide the hookup to fellow nico members for 15% off custom carbon parts.

im about to redo it with a gun when i get my aero/widebody

the clear was gunned just to to make that known if i wouldda known i was going to buy a compressor etc for flake and clear, i would have just spraygunned the whole car :/
prolly wouldda been cheaper too

Cracked dashes suck, mine was perfect when I bought it and a small crack has recently ran it's way from front to back. Damn you Arizona sun.

i hope you arent too tall, because that mirror would completely get in my way. a friend of mine bought one for his sr5 corolla and just for fun i held it up in my car and i had to slouch to see out of my car.

so in order for me to get this car "street legal" (emissions friendly)

i will be purchasing a bolt on high flow cat.

but, the dude before me made a custom exhaust, and it has a testpipe, welded to the catback.

so im buying a catback as well.

now, im worried that the catback/cat may not fit with the custom downpipe the car has.

so i have a few questions.

1.is a o2 sensor usually on the downpipe or is there another piece?
2. is the turbo elbow between the turbo / downpipe? noob question
3. who makes an affordable downpipe, that will fit a bolt on s13 cat? no test pipe garbage
