its not worth the time nor the effort to remove such a miniscule amount of weight, just leave it alone

^ This. You'd be better off running without a spare tire & jack - that will save you in the neighborhood of 45 pounds and take a lot less time.

And unlike cutting up the speaker box, you can always reverse the process. ;)

Nope, all that plastic housing stuff is just there to hog up real estate inside the car.

The bar in the back with the letter Z on it though..that you might want to leave.

*but you can take the surrounding cover off

talking about the zdayz best interior? his name is jackson0927 on the big 350z forum and its not a g35 interior or seats its something he custom made, the g seats are too big what he made was never ment to house a person he built it so his dog had a place to sit. the 350z is a over a foot shorter only 169 inchs long the g coupe is 182

weight of the plastic, insulation and sheet metal of that piece is about 25 lbs not much at all most people who cut it out do so to mount the rear legs of a cage/bar lower. it could also be prime real estate for goodies. thinking of moving my battery, fuel swirl pot, meth tank, meth pump, and dual bosch 044's there with a custom carbon fiber box to cover it. that would let me put the stock rear interior back in and hide everything nicely.
