I am putting my audio system together, and I was hoping to keep the stock head unit for a while until I can afford a navigation unit. I am putting in component speakers and 6x9's on a 4-Channel amp. Will I be able to also hook up to a mono amp with a 12" sub?

Can I split the rear 6x9 un-amplified signal cable and run it to the mono amp?

Yes you can hook up a 4 channel and a mono. That is the set up I have. and yes you can use the unamplified signal for a line out converter.

So would my crappy diagram below be correct?

What exactly does a line out converter do? My 4-Channel amp came with 2 wires that are RCA on one end and Speaker Wire on the other (what is the difference between this and a line out converter?). Thanks.

I HIGHLY!!! and I really mean HIGHLY!!! recommend the JL cleansweep CL441 dsp, or else your sound quality will sound like crap.
