can i change rod bearings with the motor still in?

i was wondering if i could replace the rod bearings with the motor still in. is there a way to pop off the oil pan and do it??? 1992 nissan 240sx

You can but it is a pain in the a**.Pull the engine and do it right.

it's a nightmare with the motor in. pull the engine and put it on a stand. makes a world of difference.

i got it. i un bolted the motor mounts a lifted it high. then un bolted the sway bar then pulled out the oil pan. the only thing thats a pain is the grattle thats there but i can get the rod caps and everything off. thanks anways though
