Yes, let me first put up my search disclaimer....yes, I used the search button but found nothing that would answer a fairly simple question, ( I hope)

when installing an aftermarket radio;1) is the Sat module accessable to be hooked into new unit or do we have to buy a new adapter for the new radio?2) is there separate wiring for tapping into Bose system or is the wiring I ordered with my Metra kit going to work?

I've gotten alot of different answers....when I buy the am unit, what do I need to keep my bluetooth, iPhone Jack & Sat radio?

I ordered Metra kit 90-7423 and wiring 70-7552Thanks guys

> Hi Robert,> I hope you don't mind me emailing you with a question, I've searched through the forum posts and you seem to be quite knowledgable on many things having to do with the A/C!> First, let me thank you for the wonderful job you did on my kickplates, they are just freakin awesome:) no problemThe wiring you ordered is just fine, I just chekced the part numbers... don't ever go to best buy and ask them anything.... all of the guys there are idiots!!! The only additional thing you may want to add is the Scosche unit FAI-3 or SLC-4 . this is to be used in conjunction with the factory BOSE amp because sometimes, the volume leaving the aftermarket deck going to the BOSE amplifier will be TOO HIGH. When this happens, when you turn on your aftermarket radio, you'll be at full volume when you hit like volume levels 10, and then it will distort badly after that. So the Schoche unit will take the high input signals leaving the atermarket unit, and you can dial those down a bit before the signal gets to the amplifier. Its sort of like having a pre-amplifier gain setting. That may not sound like anything to you, but your installer will know what I mean. And if they tell you that you don't need it, insist that it be installed anyway. i once gave this advice to someone on the forum, and the installer told them that they didn't need it... and then they got in the car, and the volume was all jacked up, and they had to go back the next day and have them reinstall it the way I described. Also, you will have to get the antenna adapter as well!

> Also, do we have to purchase a separate adapter for Sat radio or is the module for the factory radio accessible? factory satelite radio will be 100% useless. So too will the bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel! So yes, you must get an aftermarket satellite radio device, which will vary depending on the unit you buy!
