Can bov's be rebuilt?

I just got a free, brand new blow off valve today. However, it's one of those Greddy RS knock offs you get when you send in enough generic cereal box tops. Actually, I got this from an eBay auction. I was actually supposed to just get the tube with the Greddy flange only. I ended up with a bonus. Can't beat free!

Anyways, can bov's be rebuilt? Here are some pics, I am sure that some of you have some experience with this particular unit.

i know on turbonetics and tial wastegates you can change the diaphragm and spring but that as far as i can tell

i dont have both the real rs and the fake rs bovs, but i do have the the real greddy type s and the fake type s. iv taken both apart and the internals are the same even the spring rate. iv weighed the silver base part on the bottom and they wiegh the same. the piston is also the same im pretty sure. also makes thats same bird chirp sound as my real greddy.

Thanks for the information. I am planning on tearing it down to a component level. I am going to purchase Greddy authentic parts to ensure reliability.

Anyone know of a particular lube/oil I should use?

you can purchase every part of the BOV individually from greddy. they sell diaphrams and springs and even the valves themselves. i wouldn't touch it until it starts to show signs of leaking.
