Can bad injectors cause oil burning?

Motor: ka24de w/ 170k miles, 175psi compression on all 4 cylinders

I've had occasional oil burning before one of my injectors went out and I replaced it with an old one. Ran fine but oil burning continued, but occasionally. So i'm thinking the oil rings so i switched to heavier oil and the additives, dunno if it helped or not, still occasional oil burning, but getting worse. Burning was more apparent during the middle of the day as opposed to mornings when it's colder. So yesterday, the car starts running on 3 cylinders and im assuming once again, one of my injectors went out. Don't think it's the valve seals cuz it doesn't do anything in the mornings, but it does spit out blue smoke when idling when takin off, but thats occasional as well..... what u'll think?? can injectors be causing this? A mechanic told me that once when my injectors went out for the first time.....

A leaking fuel injector could wash out your rings, and allow oil to leak into the combustion chamber. First fix your injector problems, as fuel/oil contamination can damage your bearings. If lots of fuel is dumping into the cylinders you may get a black/grey smoke.

After you have fixed the injector/injectors, pour a teaspoon of Marvel's Mystery Oil into each cylinder with the spark plugs out. MMO is GREAT at relubricating fuel washed rings and cylinder walls. Crank it over a few times with the spark plugs out and fuel pressure released(release the pressure prior to pouring in the MMO, pull the fuel pump fuse, run the engine until it dies to release pressure). Then reinstall the fuel pump fuse, and spark plugs. When starting it you will get some smoke as the MMO burns off, but do not rev it, allow the rings to soak at idle. Drive around the block and see if your smoking problem is gone.

If you still see smoke and your compression is fine, either your valve seals or headgasket are going out.

Bad headgasket = White/Thick puffs of smokeBad Valve Seals= Blueish/Black smoke
