So my SR20 powered Silvia is working fine. Had a brief issue with crankcase pressure shooting the dipstick out, but I believe that was b/c the dipstick that came withthe motorset was broken. Got a new one + catch cat vented to atmosphere= no more probs.

Yesterday I stop at a no-name Los Angeles gas station (after 15min of decent on-boost hwy driving) and put a half tank of 91 in. IMMEDIATLY after I pull away from the gas station my car is letting out a BUNCH of smoke. Now I know all about how this can very well be piston rings or valve seals, but I never usually get smoke at startup or on hard driving. What can make me go from zero to a good deal of smoke just like that? Anyone have experience with bad gasoline?

Ideas?

Thanks

it could very well be bad gas. what color is the smoke ? if it is blueish gray then it could possibly be the turbo oil seals aside from rings or valve seals, but more than likely it is just bad gas given the circumstances you are describing.
