Can AWD be shut off? Plus a couple other questions.....

Looking into purchasing fx35. The switch on the left of the steering column that reads AWD Off/ON?

Im looking at an 04. With Tech/sport hoepfully.

I want NAV/DVD/Xenon lights/back up camera/Moon Roof/20s

Are those options seperate, or part of a package?

Welcome to NICOclub fellow Wisconsinite! Glad to have you here! Sorry no one greeted you sooner. Technically we do not have an FX Forum Mod, but I can assure you we are thrilled to have you as a member here in the FX forum.

I wish I had more answers to your questions, but as far as the AWD switch is concerned, I DO NOT believe you can turn it off. If you turn it on, it LOCKS the AWD so that is on permantly on speeds of 25mph or slower. I can offer you this, check out the 2004 FX owner's manual here:

AWD will be switched to RWD when your speed is below 40km/h without switching on the AWD switch.

If you want to make sure it is off. Keep your car running fast.
