can anyone tell me what these codes are?

ok, so i got these two codes:

440 and 446, i got em from autozone, but the stuff they had it defined as wasnt much help, so can anyone look it up for me in their FSM? thanks in advance

P.S. - any help on fixing it would be great too

has the ECU codes, they dont have numbers that high though.

they are both evap codes i believe its evap small leak and vent control valve. valve is probably stuck open replace it. if your lucky you wont break off the bolts or rip the inserts out of the canister.

my idle went up soon after getting the codes, car runs a bit worse, etc, what exactly is evap? also, is it expensive to replace? im assuming the leak code is caused by the valve being open?

car ran worse you say ..sounds like it might be purge vavle instead of vent since that would open a leak to atmosphere. try pinching of the line from your purge valve to the intake and see if your idle improves. if you dont know which one is the purge valve look on your underhood label with the vac line diagram. it will label it and you should be able to locate it on your engine.
