So here is my problem. I have a 94 Q45

Every morning when i drove my Q to work, this problem will comes up:

1. Lost of Power Steering2. The Digital mileage counter on the bottom right is not moving (The main mileage counter is moving normally)3. Engine check light will come on 10 mins into driving.

These 3 things comes together and they never comes indiviually.

However, these problems does not exist all the time. Like on my way home afterwork my car is working perfectly as well as other time. It started a few months ago, it lasted for 1 week and when I decided to check it the problem was gone. I have the mechanic checked the power steering, the pressure is fine and since the engine check light is not on at the time the car is in the shop, the mechanic said he cannot find anything.

Please let me know what is my problem!!!

the inevitable question remains, if the ECU light comes on, have you checked your codes?

My guess is your gonna get code 14, VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR..... Go check your codes and tell me im right ( ), and then replace your VSS (but check the part first/harness connectors before buying a new one.)

I also have a 94, and my steering randomly goes heavy too. It's only a split second difference though.

The problem is, I never get a chance to check the code when I comes on....

Since the Engine Check Light comes on Randomly, it is really hard for me to schedule a service check.....
