I think they are from the 1999-2001 Q45.. I really like these but need to know the offset before I buy. I am trying to fit them on a 1994 Q45a (no active suspension anymore).

Will the seller not look them up for you? That would be the safest way!

I will see what info I can find ...

Okay, I looked in the 2000 Q45 owners manual. It lists an optional wheel: a 17x7.5JJ wheel with a 30mm offset.

No pictures, though, so I cannot be sure this is the same wheel. Still best to ask!

Yeah, the seller states they are the 99-01 17"x7.5" wheels, but always best to check since the I30 17"x7" look identical (almost).

The bad news is this was the year of the recall of these wheels. My understanding is Infiniti will replace them free, but since the recall is by VIN, don't know what would happen when they are mounted on a different model Q45.

Have the seller get them replaced under warranty and sell you the new set. Shouldn't cost him any extra effort beyond dropping them off and picking them up.

In the recall notice, they might change it even if on a different vehicle, but it depends on contacting Infiniti first. I suspect that they would worry about the liability - if used on an older Q45 for example - and do the replacement, but always good to check!

If this recall program is still on, of course! Which I think it is.

Here are the words from the recall specific to this issue:

Quote »NOTE:• Wheels affected by this campaign may have been used to mount snow tires or used as spare tires or, in some cases, mounted on vehicles other than those identified as part of this campaign.• If you encounter such a situation, the wheels may be eligible for replacement as part of this campaign. However, pre-approval from the Infiniti Claim Call Center is required PRIOR TO replacing the wheels.[/quote]I posted about this recall recently ... zerothread?id=127488

If he does that, the seller will get new wheels and want to charge a lot more!
