Is there anyone in the Seattle area experienced with engine swaps? Or, does anyone know a good shop to take it to?

I live in Green Bay, WI. I have a 240sx convertible in Seattle.

The KA has some issues with the timing chain I think, and is not recommended to drive long distances. I planned on driving home, but I don't want to risk it.

I checked into shipping... $850 to ship it.

I planned on doing an engine swap in my garage this winter, but maybe NOW is the time. It would have cost me another $500 to ship the engine here also. Did I mention that the company I am getting the engine from is in Seattle also.

So instead of spending $1350+ to ship both items seperately, I am hoping to find someone in Seattle who can do the swap for me and then I will fly out there and drive the car home.

I had planned on an RB20 swap, but it is a little more complicated than the SR20, and if I have to pay for install, the SR might be better due to is simplicity.

Can anyone help me out? Or can anyone recommend a shop or mechanic who can help out? Anybody have any other ideas for me?

ThanksSeth

RB20's are easier and cheaper than SR's but there are very few people in the NW that have experience with them. The dash wiring is the only difficult part of the RB20 swap if you get a clip.

Hard part about getting someone to do the swap in this manner is that there is usually quite a few problems that arise during the swap. Though I see you posted on NWN. There are quite a few capable people on that board that could help, but also quite a few who can't really help.
