I just picked up a S13 and I found this connector unhooked...Anyone know what this is? I was thinking it was for some option my car doe not have.

theres also another connector that is identical to this one. What are these suckers for?!?!

yeah mine has it to. i think it plugs into the flex capacitor. haha jk as long as it work leave it alone

on the pre-OBDII days...

this sucker is called CONSULT PORT

edit: (on page EF & EC-15 of the FSM, the pic is correct as well as your photo, the FSM calls it Check Connector for E.C.C.S. Checker Box but text incorrectly says it was by the gas filter... lol)

i think some tecchies have made a plug to go into this so u can read what teh ECU/ECM reads...via laptop or PDA this was b4 APEX-i Multichecker dayz

heck, that consult port was for the Nissan dealer tech tool... @ the time.

don't believe me? ask nissan online mechanic for more info... i'd like to search for that plug/software as well... so NICOnauts w/ better searching skillz--> git 2 work!
