Last weekend I installed my Racingline grounding kit and came back across this mystery hose I had forgotten about. When I installed my air intake a few months back, this hose was just kind of ziptied to the side of the stock airbox. One end connected as in pics below and the other end just out hanging off the ziptie. Anyone have an idea of what it is or if it supposed to be connected anywhere? I couldnt see anything within its reach that looked like it could connect to. If it doesnt get connected, WTF is it? Some kind of pressure release?

First pic to show location.

Second close up, you can see toward the back where it connects (I know, s*** cell pic).

im assuming its the transmission hose. once you install an aftermarket intake its gonna just sit there loosely. idk whats the purpose of it but i was told by my mechanic that its supposed to be pointing downwards at all times. you could just ziptie it or do it like i did and hook it onto the engine

Right now it just kind of dangling around...its lower than it was when it was connected to the OEM airbox so I guess should be alright?

the purpose of the transmission vent hose is to compensate for the expanging fluids and air(not sure). that way pressure doesn't build inside the transmission. try to have it sit like it origionally did and ur good to go
