It's either an early 89 stock S13 R200 or a Z32 diffy.

I think you have a HICAS car. Post up the model code on the firewall ID plate and we can tell you what it came with at least.

looks like a hicas car with either a jdm vlsd or a j30 5 bolt vlsd. why it would be swapped out with a 5 bolt is beyond me since hicas cars came with vlsd from the factory. unless someone bought a jdm rearend that had a mechanical diff installed.

All Canadian models had VLSD stock anyway AFAIK...Some early 240s and Silvias came with 5-bolt shafts stock.

180s and Silvias came with 5 bolt, not 240s.

The early Canadian model 240s did I know for sure. There were some others who have said this was true for America as well.

This was confirmed years ago on this very site. Maybe the past has changed now with the invention of the time machine and all. lol

i own 15 240's currently and have had more that ive sold and have NEVER seen a usdm 240 with 5 bolt axles unless it was swapped. ive seen plenty of them in the junkyards as well and all were 6 bolt.

Did S14 come with HICAS? I know that J30T s came with HICAS or at least when I pulled my for my 240sx S13 it did.But using google I found a forum talking about this. http://www.northwestnissans.co...30827Knowing all this you can also check your VIN if your car came with this option.
