The problem with old low volume expensive cars is why should a technican spend the time [a week or two] to get familiar with the vehicle [read FSM and read 10,000 posts here] without being paid for his time if there are not enough examples to make it worth their time in future.
Someone who works on BMW 740 V8 or even brand new Range Rover V8 will have the necessary skills, just not the documents and test equipment for that you are stuck with a Nissan Technican who can be upgraded since they can get the documents and may have most of the test equipment assumming they were working in the early 90's.
Same problem in US own a RollsRoyce or Ferrari or exotic race car you better have a full time on YOUR payroll technican just to work on your specialty cars.
Our Roswell Facility [see web site] has an ex UK RR technican who can speak to your tech with the local slang............have your guy call Duncan, I'm sure he can spare 15 minutes. Send Duncan a big enough check and I'm sure you could buy him via phone for hours at a time. Say $45Pounds per hour you pay for the call.
