A few months ago my dad was rear ended in his 7 month old GTI by a guy in truck. This guy begged my dad not to call insurance or the cops and promised him that he would pay out of pocket for the repairs needed. My dad being the nice and (I have no idea for what reason) trusting person that he is, agreed. All he got from the guy was a name and a cell phone number, no license plate, no VIN, no DL number, no address, nothing. Well surprise, surprise, following my dad getting the work done and emailing him the bill the guy has stopped responding to my dad's calls and emails. I have through available means been able to track the dude down through linkedin and know where his office is located but being a construction and commissioning engineer it's likely that he isn't there daily. I want to find out as much about this d-bag as possible before attempting contact or legal recourse so here I am. I have seen how Greg and a few of the others here are able to dig up skeletons of ages past from people's closets long buried. So can anyone help me out, if not with direct information then at least a lead to a way to dig deeper than I have? Please post or pm me if you guys have any ideas or access to some top secret government database
