Some would say, whatever you're willing to pay for it, but I'd say they're asking WAY too much, unless they have full service records, all the 90K service is "done" and the accumulators are like new. If not, I'd offer them $4000-ish (depending on the above factors).

I agree.... if the accumulators are fine and it had the 60k service done at a dealership, I would say 5200.

Maybe 5k

$4000 to $6000 based on condition for a private party sale. Dealer retail add $1000-$2000. Trade-in value subtract $2000.

I doubt the dealership did more than pressure clean the engine bay.

I wouldn't give more than 5K, unless they have some records. Ask what brand plugs they installed. NGK only!

I paid $2,300 for my first one, with a blown transmission and 105,000 miles. I have now, over 210,000 miles on it. It was owned by a guy in my office, and he did meticulous maintenance.

I paid $4,500 for my second one, and it is a touring, with the Super HICAS, and 97,000 miles. It had pristine maintenance.

I thought the 1994's on up did not have the Super HICAS?

anywhere from $1500 to $8500, depending on c0ondition. You can presume all the accumulators are flat --a quick drive will show it rides like a truck at low speeds. That costs >$10K for a dealer to correct unless they install my recharged accumulators.

IF the car has had all the belts, hoses, plunum hoses, idler pulley bearings, water pump, upper links tight, tensior arms good, solid brakes, new s, fluids all recently replaced,AND it runs good (engine, transmission, AC, audio, seats, etc) and only needs accumulators-then the asking price MAY be OK--but it has to be prime condition, not a fixer-upper.

If they don't have full service records, walk away. Better yet, run.
