Hey guys, according to pg 88 of the FSM on HA page, this fuse is stopping my heater setting 1,2,3 to not work. Correct me if I'm reading this wrong. But if I'm right can anyone tell me howI can get to this?

it is part of the resistor card. it is held into your heater case with 2 screws near the blower motor. If you blew that you should also pick up a new blower motor as a high current draw from the motor is usually the cause of that fuse blowing. the card has a flat 4 wire connector [usually brown in color] plugged into it.

I can't seem to find it in the FSM, mine is an 89 and I'm using a 93/94 FSM. I'm assuming this FSM would show me where it is but I don't see it. Can you give me a page or simply point out exactly where the blower motor is please. Also I'm pretty broke and the motor is almost $200 USD and I can't afford that right now, can I pick up just the resistor card just to see if that might fix it, and if so what price am I looking at?

yes you can just get the resistor card alone and your blower will work on all speeds not just 4. For how long though who knows. It depends on how strong the draw is on your motor. the motor is on the passenger side under the dash near the passengers right foot. Where that foot would be look straight up from there you should see a small elbow shaped accordian tube. The bottom port of that tube is directly attached to the motor. You will see 3 screw around that unit holding it up to the blower housing. the resistor will be toward the front of the blower housing toward the drivers side of the blower motor.

at least pull the motor out and inspect for any debris in the squirrel cage. Remove any debris from it.
