ok i have a 91 hatch that came with a dohc ka, but my buddy talked me into getting the sr swap after he let me drive his 89 coupe with one. i am still having issues with getting this car to run right. and to me it feels like its with the ecu or wiring. he helped me do all of the wiring the same way he did his when he swaped his in and his car started right up. but his orriginally had a sohc ka in his. we both now have redtops, but he told me he heard that it was easier to swap in a s14 blacktop into the s13's that came dohc. But we followed all the same wiring diagrams that he had when he wired his and we wired mine the same. but mine is having issues. is there somthing that should of been wired different because mine had the dohc ka in it. or does it not matter if it had dohc or sohc the wiring is the same. thanks hope someone can help

Same...your boy doesn't know what he's talking about if he thinks an S14 notch is easier to install into S13 than a redtop.

What kind of problems are you having? Like CMG says... yeah, S14 SR in S13 is not a walk in the park like S13 SR in S13 Chassis. I went S14 route and wiring is quite a bit more difficult but no where near hard.
