Ok so i saw one of the ads here on NICO and it was for the Nismo Shop... well i ended up finding this...

http://www.thenismoshop.com/ik...d=837

This sounds pretty cheap for a turbo, but im guessing its not the entire kit. Would this fit on our 2.5 a/c's?

I dont know a whole lot about em but i would love to get one. What do you guys think?

That's just the price for the turbo...you'd still need to buy all the requisite piping, intercooler, piggyback, etc...

If you're really aching for a turbo, find one that's been designed for a Sentra SER. From what I've heard, they should fit with the exception of the downpipe. Try googling "QR25DE turbo" and see what you find. I remember seeing some guy who safely ran 8psi on a tuned system that gave him something like 260whp. 6psi untuned yielded about 215whp IIRC...

Dude, I say do it! Be the first among us 2.5ers to boost! Hell...you've already got the exhaust for it! haha

sorry to rain on anyone's parade but i think they said the 3.5se altima has 240WHP stock. so i mean, going through all the effort of turbo and everything and you'll only be 20 more WHP..... thats a good amount but not really worth it IMO. its better off the just spend the extra money for the 3.5se. i think blakes turbo is $7,000 (not exactly sure but i think i remember his or another turbo system costing that much). it's what $4,000 more for a 3.5se then a 2.5se? that would give you $3,000 left. thats more then enough money to make up for the 20WHP gain the 2.5 would have gotten. plus it has a lot more stuff

Your not still sore that i got to the exhaust before you did now are ya? haha jk..lol

Yeah i dont really have the money for one now anyway but i will probably get one once my coupe is paid off and the warranty has expired.

Thats very true, however i would be averaging at least 8 or so mpg with a 3.5. i would love to have all the power of a 3.5 but it doesnt beat out the awesome mileage of my 2.5. Plus im not lookin to compete with a Vette or anything, but any power i can add on i will.

And i think Blakes turbo was about 5k which yeah is still a lot of money but Stillen was lookin to make one for 3k-4k

Yeah, I think I'm just gonna get a local custom shop to fab one up for me seeing as the design is so simple.I just listened to your YouTube clip once more and fell in love with that rumble all over again!

hahaha its hard not to isnt it? yeah it is a really simple design. i had talked to a guy at a shop a couple months ago long before i even found this forum and he was gonna do a custom set up for like $540 installed, so you'll probably get it for cheaper than i did

Right, but a turbo would give you 8 mpg less with the larger fuel amounts you have to mixed with the charged air. It all works out the same, except an 2.5 turbo won't last you half as long as a 3.5 n/a

Very true.. thats one of the cons on my list of whether or not to get a turbo. Aside from not having the money for one right now they dont have one out for the 2.5 yet anyway...lol

BTW have you had any problems with urs? and how much boost are you running? ive heard turbos add a lot of extra wear on your engine, and reduce its life span significantly.
