Can a tech guru please explain the pro's and con's of a carburated KA motor?

I did a search and the same 3 results keep popping up and they dont realy answer the question?

I saw a guy selling a carburated KA24de motor for $600 130,xxx miles. He has it in his 93 S13. He said he is selling it because it just isnt the right choice for his car? What does that mean?

He attached a video of the car reving and it did sound pretty cool!

I know it isnt smog legal in California but what I dont know is how much power are you really getting for the money? I heard the conversion is really hard to find and expensive?

If it isnt smog legal why not just go SR20det? or try a dual carb'd or ITB SR20(non-turbo)?
