Can a side exhaust be done on a Z?

I've been thinking about exhaust options, I'm going with the Bassani, and I've had a little bug in my head that keeps telling me that a dual exhaust with side exits like on the Viper would look good on the 350Z but I don't know if it can be done and still look good. Does anyone know if this has been done before or if and how it can be done and still look clean? I know the Bassani is a bolt on kit and the question is not how to do a side exhaust with a Bassani kit, but simply can a side exhaust be done at all? Any help would be appreciated.

if you have enough money anything is possible, but for all practical purposes, no not without a whole lot of time trouble and expense

$$$$$ I don't think side exhaust will look good on the stock Z, if you get a body kit that will accommodate the side exhaust and make it look right. Then, maybe, otherwise I really don't like that idea. Photoshop any one?

But I think it would be a heck of a lot of money.

You will ruin your ground clearance completely by going side exit unless you cut the frame rails... it's simply not a good idea.

personally i am not a fan of side exhaust unless its on an old street rod.

U might want to check out the JGTC cars from japan they have side exit exhaust on those cars thats awsome but its straigt pipe that exits in the front fenders, very cool but really loud and not legal in the us for street car

a bud of mine has a 71? big block vette with side pipes, makes getting in and otu a PITA
