i cant get my s13 blacktop to run. ive gone through all the wiring and it looks like i got a s14 ecu and harness. the number on the ecu is 23710 69f00 and a18-000 g70 WC which i have traced to a S14 sr20det 5 speed. is there any possible way to get my motor to run with this harness and ecu? thanks guys

If you do have the s14 harness it will run but not if you have the s13 harness. I think you can repin it to work though.

you are thinking of the type-x ecu, that one won't work without repining.

S14 ecus will work fine, I ran an E5 ecu for a couple months with no probs

ok i got her up and running pretty darn good. I was wonderng about the turn knob on the back of the ecu, what is that for? To control the VVT? And also my wipers are acing weird, they just stay on. I read that you have to flip 2 wires, but Which ones? And my speedo doesn't work, which sensor is it on the trans? I would search but I'm on my phone and it's damn near immpossible to do.

- the turn nob enables diagnostic mode, i believe your check engine light blinks to give you the diagnostic code,

and theres a chart ( somewhere on here) that you can use to check what it means.

on s13 ecu's the light is on the ecu... on s14's it uses the check engine light, in your case im not sure what happens.

- get back to a computer to solve the wiper and speedo issue.
