the transmission should swap over just fine, I think the issue is wether the N/A transmission will hold up to the abuse, a VG30DE block and a VG30DETT are built on the same block casting

The trannys have the same identical internals. The N/A transmission will work. go to http://www.ashspecz.com and read up on his n/a to tt conversion it will tell you all the info you need to know and answer all of your questions.

You can run into difficulties w/ the flywheels and starters though. There has been a lot of discussion about it on tt.net, but I don't remember what the definitive answer was. If you get it on and it doesn't want to start, you might need to shim your starter out or swap it for the other one.

The NA transmission will NOT outright work on a TT engine. The TT flywheel IS bigger and the bellhousing is milled out more. You will have to get a dremel and grind out the bellhousing slightly. Also you will have to shim out the starter so that it will engage the larger diameter flywheel...Then it will work...

The internals of the TT and N/A trannys are identical. Now like stated above you will need to use either a TT clutch and flywheel which I would suggest then you grind down inside of the bellhousing a little and shim out the starter or you can use a N/A clutch and flywheel and everything should work out perfect but the TT clutch and flywheel will be stronger.

Why not just save yourself the trouble and bolt on a TT transmission? They sell at salvage yards and on part outs for the same prices as NA ones with the bonus of not having to modify it.
