Well the story is I managed to catch my 3" catback on something at a repair shop and it got pulled off...I took it to to another shop and they patched it up as best they could but the catback is pretty much beyond repair, and its leakin at every gasket. I want to know if this can damage my engine/affect my gas mileage in any way? Other car deets are in my sig. thanks in advance.

gas mileage can be affected, but it's negligible.

if you have a leak close to the cat(in front of it) it can melt it. thats about it other than gas mileage(only if it leaks before the o2 sensor)

only if it leaks before the O2 sensor.....other than that..the only thing you would suffer from is a louder exhaust and a slight bit better horsepower..

(racecars dont have cats!) they barly have exahust's..lol...

Liquid is right. I even cut the cat out of my exhaust. No emissions test here.
