Hi,

I did a search and couldn't find a definite answer to my question so I'm posting this.

Can a 95' 240sx M/T, swap into a 92' frame set up for a M/T?

I have a 92' 240sx w/ a M/T and am looking to get a replacement for my current transmission. But I've heard the s14 transmission may not mate up with the s13 driveshaft. So I'm wondering if the s13 to s15 trannys are in fact the same unit.

Any advice will help!

Thanks in advance! :)

The s15 is not the same as the others. But a trans. from any DOHC will bolt up to any other DOHC (for the KA24DE's).

Matt, I would recommend asking a junkyard. That is how I found out that my 93 240SX would work with the 95 motor. They have a book that can cross reference different year cars and tell you what fits. When I checked I believe they told me my 5-speed would fit any KA24DE regardless of the drive shaft. David

I called Nissan directly and had their technical staff look up the question for me and they called back saying this:

The part # for the 94'-96' 240sx M/T is FS5W71C

I checked my Nissan factory service manual and the part # for my 92' M/T is FS5W71C

So I guess that finaly ends the debate huh?

Thanks to all who replied. :rockon
