I have a 2006 M35. A few times the last couple of days while driving the car stalled, the slip light came on and so did the service engine light. When I hooked up an OBD, it said code p0340, which is the camshaft position sensor bank 1. My question is which side is this? I went to auto parts store and the guy told me bank 1 is always on the drivers side....but I read somewhere that bank 1 is on the side where cylinder 1 is located which I believe is on the passenger side for my engine (VQ35DE). Which side is bank 1 located?

When one of the cam position sensors failed on my G35, I replaced them both at the same time. Figured the effort to get at them was larger than the cost of the extra part.
