Camshafts in junkyard S13 help ASAP

Ok, there is a charcol grey 240 sitting at the Pick-a-part near my place. Now, I can't get the answer straight. People are saying the 91 cams can only be used (exhaust or intake?), then there are other people saying that all s13 cams are the same. The place where I can get them have both cams still intact under the valve cover.

So which side (facing the car from the front) is the cam I need? And will any s13 cam work?!?! I need an answer ASAP

dude, i did. Everyone says yes to 91. then again, everyone says yes to all s13's.

Ive heard the 91 exhaust cam is better than other KA24DE cams. The exhaust is the one on the right. Just a guess, but thats the side the exhaust manifold is on...

try searching for the lift and duration specs on 91-early 93 cams. Those particular years of the s13 had the profile you are looking for. However, i have heard of folks using two exhaust cams, and they had to machine the dowl pin for the cam you wish to put on the intake side.

wellp, just found out that 91-93 cams are the same, so yay! I get the exhaust cam for 16.99!!!

if you read the earlier post, only the early 93's were usable.

yeah well, a ton of people are ignorant too. Most have not even cracked their valve covers and checked the damn things themselves. Thats the difference between my information and theirs. Mine is experienced and informed.

Stickgoats car was down for a long time because her cams weren't torqued to spec. BTW all kade s13s are 240/248.
