im having alot of trouble with this whole camshaft and valve stuff and i need some help before i blow my own fuse as well as my motor. Ok so im planning to go buy a turbo kit for my 1996 240sx LE it has a 100% stock clean and great shape motor i want to install a BC 272 camshaft for my KA24DE engine i need to know what i need to do in order to install this and what calculations im gonig to have to make and how to do them i have the service manuals for my engine and have been doing some read ups but i need more info on the technical side this is my first import project car and i want this one to be a good one i plan to run the boost at only 5-7 psi and then after some tweaking maybe ill push it up to 8-12 psi but i do not want to blow my motor and i am planning on running a turbo(duh...) any ways your help is much appretiated

why do you want to change your cams?

at that PSI, and assuming the rest of your engine will be stock, you really wont see any noticeable gains from those cams, the street cams maybe, BUT if you do run them you will need to have the head machined to allow for more clearance, you will also need new valve spings(go with the Crower), retainers(again go with Crower, or OE Nissan), and may as well get new valves, OE Nissan should suffice, you may also want to get adjustable cam gears and degree your cams properly, and use your FSM for torque values and sequences

stick with the stock cams they will work for well over 400 hp
