OK so i picked up this rig with a seized distributor and a busted camshaft, so i have begun the process of tearing it all down, its almost ready to go back together, had it up to top dead pulled it all down, damn left side cam gear swung hard to the left without the belt on it, but anyway it should be ok

question I cant get the back bolt on the rear of the camshaft unbolted. there does not seem to be enough room to really put a long wrench on the back. so i was figuring put the rear bolt in a bind against the brake booster, and with more room wrench on the camshaft pulley loosening the rear bolt, please tell me if there is another way.

you need to use a long piece of metal with two spikes on it, in order to hold the cam gear, put a long wrench on the back nut wedge in between firewall and master cly, or get someone to help you. your goign to have to pull the front wrench holding the cam gear in order to remove the back nut.

the "tool" i used was from a nissan mechanic which was a front lower tension arm or trac bar from an old maxima or altima the tech stated. it is has a round bushing at one end to hold as a handle the other end has two studs that fit the gear perfect.
