morning all. had the car coded after the cel came on and its now giving me a camshaft position sensor, is this why the car seems to kick back down instead of staying 4th gear, not a hard kick but i can tell it doesnt want to stay. what the heck is this , has anyone had to replace it, what does it cost from joe ( their price is 450.00 ) where is it located ?

Thanks

Usually dirty corroded connectors not the unit itself.........clean with crc contact cleaner a few times and see.

The camshaft position sensors [CAS] bolts to the front of the drivers side exhaust cam external to the engine head.

The turbine sensor is atop the transmission.

Download the 96Q manual and spend a few days memorizing the first 300 pages.

If the FSM is in a PDF format, make sure you have Adobe Reader installed on your pc.

Did you download it from phatg20.net? If so, you need to get winRAR.
