camshaft position sensor

I have a 2003 pathfinder and have changed the camshaft position sensor twice and it has burned another out. Runs fine for a day then it quits, won't start and fires the code once again for the camshaft position sensor. Any ideas as to what may be causing the truck to burn out the sensor?

I'd start by putting a meter on it to see if its shorting out or putting too many amps through it or something.
Also inspect the connector for corrosion and damage.
