Hi, don't know if this has come up before on this forum, tried doing a google search on it and came up blank. Here's the issue.
07 g35 with 54K miles on it. Service engine light on, code indicating camshaft positions sensor problem. Did an oil change even though it wasn't due for one on the off chance it might have been something gunking up the actuators. No such luck, light came back on, replaced the sensors, reset the light, 75 miles later, light is back on. Any ideas on next step? Seems like low mileage for the car to be having timing chain or fly wheel issues.

2007 with only 54k? Take it to Infiniti and have them fix it under warranty. They may just cover it up until the end of the year (4yr/60k basic warranty).

Yup, thought of that. Unfortunately, the 4 yr clock starts the day you take delivery, which was late 2006, so its out of warranty.

Well for the benefit of any who may encounter this problem, the answer to the mystery was in fact a bad camshaft sprocket which was replaced under the engine/power train warranty. A little disconcerting that they would go bad after only 55K miles, but..
