i am planning on getting my car fixed today, but i kept researching what the Camshaft position sensor and the Crank Angle Position Sensor (or Crankshaft position sensor?) are. Now im confused because i have an 89 240sx (with original Ka24e) and from what i read, one of those parts does not come on that model. but the terms keep getting thrown around and i dont know which is true. All im looking for is a straight answer as to which DOES or DOES NOT exist on my car. i ask because i was throwing a code 11 and dont want to get a part i obviously dont need. do i just need a new distributor or what? thanks in advance

no cam sensor. in order to get a new CKP, you must replace the whole distributor. i would diagnose it further first as thats a expensive part. if your car runs, its not the sensor, probably the wiring. try downloading the FSM, it has all the answers that your looking for, including a trouble shoot for that code
