so my check engine light went on the other day..

brought it in to the dealer and they checked it out said that it was a camshaft position sensor..

i looked it up and its like a main sensor that regulates fuel acceleration and all that and it doesnt break until 100k+ miles and its in fords.

i have 10k in mine.. any ideas why or anyone else have this issue on the 07s. comments suggestions thanks

Might be simply a defective part... I'm sure that happens from time to time. Just a guess. BTW, it's covered under your warranty, right? That means cost-free repair AND a loaner for the duration of the work! WOO HOO! (Wearing my bright side, silver-lining glasses this morning!) lol

You don't have the underdrive pulley kit do you?

In the Hemi club people with underdrive pulley's would have the steel tone ring on the back of the crank come apart. The dealership would replace the sensor and then find it wasn't the problem. Then they would see your underdrive pulley and void your warranty and have you come pick up your truck.

I would be skeptical that is it really the sensor that is broken.

Keep us posted and good luck!

that is crazy?? Didn't you post some cool video of sliding the G around in the snow? Maybe the sensor got moisture damage from that?

hehe. yes in deed. BUT that wasnt my G. i would never do such abuse to my own G. that was a friends and he wanted to see what it can do, so i showed him . the only "abuse" if you want to call it that, is the nice red line that the tach comes into contact with everytime i drive it.
