I went to NAPA and order 2 oil seals for my camshafts off a 1988 Pulsar NX SE. They're not the same. THe ones they gave me also have a dust boot. Even though the diameter is the same, the wide of the seals is much thicker. Wouldn't that push my camshaft sprockets out a little and mess up the timing belt? You guys got yours at the dealership?

oh yea, what holds the head to the block except the head bolts. I took those out and the entire turbo manifold out already.

yup...it's 13042N. I got mine from NAPA becuase my local dealership parts guy said my engine doens't exist for my year. Pissed me off so I hate dealing with him but I guess I have no choice. THanks for the part number

As for taking the heads off. What tools did you guys use to take it apart when you got the head bolts off. Cuz my friend and I basically lifted the entire engine off the ground and nothing...hahhah...

ocne the bolts are off, as long as all the exterior stuff (timing chain cover etc) is off nothing else to hold it together..

you may need to carefully try to pry at a corner (someplace where gasket sealing is irrelevant) and see if you can get them to seperate.. or you could try spray some gasket remover around the edges, but that **** is nasty.. i hope to never touch it again.. had to use it to get off some of the gasket where the oil pan was, I think? not sure off hand.. something on the block.
