I have a chilton and factory manual. They have 2 different specs for the torque on the camshaft cap bracket bolts. can you tell me what the torque for these are?

what caps are you talking about. the one were the timing chain goes connected too. or the ones that hold the cam shaft. because the one on the triming chain is 120 torque . and the ones that hold the cam shaft are about 15

Thanks,The ones I am refering to are the bolts that hold the cam shafts down. I guess you could say they are the camshaft bearing caps. The manual calls them camshaft brackets. They run along the length of both cams.

yea yea i know what your talking about. and i was reading an article on puttin in cams. on the ka24de it says torque for those bolts is 8 lbs. but if the bolts your using are the stock ones that are old. maybe consider torquing them down to 10 lbs.
