I've searched for cams Q/A myself. I've decided that there is no good info on here about cams. As far as aftermarket goes anyway.

You can check out a site in canada that regrinds your cams to a hotter spec. They are called shadbolt, their website is: http://www.shadboltcams.com. I talked to one of their reps and he said that a regrind would be $150 per cam, you supply the cam. He also said that a 91-93 exhaust cam was already pretty good, but the intake cams are milder and recommended a regrind of the intake only. If you leave them an e-mail with your phone #, they will eventually call you back. It took about a week before they called me back. Good luck!

Well I'm personally looking for cams with 280 to 300 degree's of duration. So I'm not to concerned with the lumpy idle.

If you are running a fuel injected ECU controlled car, cams with 280 to 300 degrees of duration will not just cause lumpy idle, it will stall your car out while slowing down. My Nismo cam has a 270 degree duration (up from stock 228) and my ECU couldnt decipher the air flow meter fluxuating like it was, so it stalled every time i let off the gas. Grab yourself a HKS Super AFR. That way, the incoming air flow meter signal will be buffered before it gets to the ECU, and the ECU will recieve a signal it understands. Makes your car MUCH more drivable!

Are you blind? 6 threads down are 3 pages of cam talk. To make it clear though, the FAQs on 240sx.org are outdated, they're as old as the site and are in the process of being updated. Tell EVERYONE you know, so we don't go through this again. 91-early 93 cams are the exact same, with 240 degree duration on the intake side, 248 exhaust. 95-98 are both 232. 22rwhp was seen on a turbo car. You'll see about 5-8rwhp on a non-turbo by using both. Nissan Motorsports sells a set that is a pair of 248s, repinned to fit correctly. These give a little more but at the loss of some lowend. Truck cams are in the neighborhood of 218 degrees IIRC, completely useless for a 240, and don't fit anyway. Altima cams don't either.
