im thinking about putting cams in my car i have a 350z im wondering if it makes a difference between stock cams and if anyones has them let me know

There are better bang for the buck applications than cams, and they won't be as much of as a PITA to install, just my personal take.

Certainly look at the duration and lift specs of the cams you're comparing, as those increase you'll make gains up top but take a hit down low...and the bigger the gains the more lope you're going to have in your idle.*

Here's a dyno straight from JWT's S1 cams for the 350Z...you really need to wind it up to see any real gains.

There's certainly gains to be made and I'm never (well, rarely anyway) one to tell someone what to do and not do with their car, but I'd pick a different place to spend some money before I went with cams. But you know what? Even though F/I is cheaper I'd love to see an all-out, all-motor Z. :yesnod Keep us posted!

*JWT even has a special note regarding the cams..."This cam upgrade may require the idle rpm be set to 850 rpm to prevent possible stalling at idle."
