ok i have a 1995 240sx se with the Ka with twin cams and 16 valves. I was wanting to know what whould be the best cam for the most horse power and torqe. I have some good Headers, 3in catback and a new k&n air filter. What would be the best cames for the weekend racer at the drag strip, and a daily driver diring the week. Thanks.

oh and i checked the pluges today and when i pulled the wires out from the motor the out sid was brown like a rust color is that normal or not ?

Cams are kind of a thing you have to research for yourself because you're the only one who knows just what you want. Some will help out low end and hurt top end power, and vice versa. PDM and JWT cams are probably the most popular, and I think they both run around $5-600. Im pretty sure PDM has a dyno chart on their site, so check that out.

s13 cams from 91- early 93 are good. they make you lose a bit of low end but it makes you gain in the high end. that shouldnt cost you more than $100 and 2 hours of your time. direct drop in

Not bloody likely....More like 10-20 hp tops, more with headwork and tuning though.

depends. For a 2.4L, 40-50 is out of the question. If you had a 427 or something, that would probably be more reasonable.

Your best bet would be to get in touch with Jim Wolf Technologies either by phone or his website. I live in near El Cajon, CA where his shop is located and for $878.00 he installed cams and retuned my computer. His cams don't really pull until close to 4000rpms so he resets the redline for 7000rpms which as you know will give you an extra 500rpm pull. He also tuned the ECU and eliminated the fuel cut so now your car can go faster than 115mph or so. I have run against my wifes BMW 325i and we were doing 138mph. Bottom line, cams won't help to their full potential unless you tune your car to use them. It may be a little pricey but if you go with another set up at least get your ECU tuned when you get the cams.

Thanks man, I try to keep it pretty clean. My wife is looking after her while I am over here in Iraq though. I usually just spray the engine bay off while leaving the motor running with a pressure washer. I have a bunch of new goodies to go underneath there. Being deployed pays big so I bought a nissan JDM strut tower bar to replace that puny Trust (Greddy) one. If anyone is interested I will sell it for $40 shipped anywhere in lower 48 states when I get home.
