No, a lopey cam will not throw crazy random codes.

you might get a missfire code, from the AFR's being rich or leaner than normal... thats about it.

Try asking this question in the VH and VK forum. It is specific to the 4.5 and 4.1 litre engines. You might even do a search, and find cam specs. It has been discussed before.

You mention exhaust in your title, but have not said anything. A couple of us have done custome set-ups, and a lot have replaced the rear muffler. Not much of a gain with the rest of the engine stock, but necessary if you plan to do more. I would consider it a first step in building a tuned system. I think the best improvement would come from a tuned set of long tube headers to replace the factory manifolds. I think as much as 8 to 10 HP could be gained there.

90-95Q = 248/248 with 9.9mm lift 8 or 28 dergrees overlap

35lb or 370 cc injectors enough for 448 HP at 80% duty cycle

You need to post up in the VH forum.....

You can weld stainless iwth a mig or a tig, you just need use tungsten.

adding larger injectors wouldnt really do anything if your going to stay N/A. One thing you could do is make sentances in your posts.....

There is a special weld alloy developed for automotive stainless exhaust systems (304). It is SS409. Normally available in flux core rolls for MIG welders. All the muffler shops use it cause it works and doesn't crack. It provides the best weld zone ductility and crack resistance. Standard stainless weld materials and techniques do not hold up under the vibration and thermal cycling environment and will crack at the welds. I have a 40# roll of 0.035" dia of the stuff. Used about 10' of the roll. Offers?

Texasoil, who makes the stainless flux core that you are using? I need to get a 2 lbs. roll for my little mig welder.

Does the flux core that you have use a shielding gas or is it a pure flux core (gasless)? Thanks.
