Camera View w/ aftermarket audio/nav system

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if any of you have any insight or experience with aftermarket nav systems that allow users to use the 5 point camera system that comes with my 2012 Rogue SL. I live in Canada if that matters (Toronto!).

When looking at aftermarket decks, I notice the majority only say rear view camera capability. Is that accurate or would I see exactly what I currently see with the stock set up? Have any of you purchased any? Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a bigger screen w/ a nav system but still allows me to use the camera function.

Interesting question. Gave it some thought when I bought mine. I'm guessing that given the way the image is combined, I'm inclined to say it's a unique feature that won't be found on aftermarket headunits.

I thought about replacing the unit too when the current GPS map gets old. I hope that the around view camera is a separate processing module and it is just a simple video feed to the head unit. Anyone has wiring diagram of the harness at the back of the head unit?

no far nothing i have seen supports more than one camera.

I am interested in somebody pulling out their unit if they ever do replace it. Wonder what it looks like back there myself. If all the cameras meet towards 1 wire.

As far as aftermarket head units, I too could not find any that support multi-camera input. That being said, if all else fails one could install the head unit of their choice, then hook the cameras to an aftermarket monitor. I found a supplier in China selling a 9" monitor system (info is sparse) that may also record to SD card. That's a bummer. The stock unit is alright but would have liked to eventually upgrade to a larger screen and a nav unit with a bit more options.

If anyone ever comes across a unit or an alternative please post!
