I'm in the process of buying a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8s, the only problem is that the drivers side front tire has a camber problem. The car is lowered using Tein basic dampers which are fully adjustable. If i raised the car would it likely help to reduce the excessive wear on the tire?

Also it's got 18" rims, would droppin down to 16's help?

The 18"s certainly don't help.

Raising it will help, but it may just need an alignment. Camber can't be really helped if it's truly slammed, as the only camber adjustment available is the bolt type, which has a tendency to sheer off and become useless anyway.

Anyway, get the alignment checked, raise it, then think about a new wheel/tire setup. 17"s are fine if you prefer them on the larger side, but anything 15-17 will do.

I thought coil overs came with different top hats (pillow mounts) that allow for camber adjustment. All the coil over setups I have seen have camber adjustment. If they aren't there, see if they can be purchased. If not, then this is your only option beside raising the height.

I don't think Basics come with pillow ball upper mounts.
