Camber plates vs. Camber Bolts

General discussion forum about the 240sx, and a great place to introduce yourself to the board!

sears has upper and lower camber bolts. they replace existing upper and lower bolts? so i just do a quick bolt off the old ones and on the new ones? are they really worth it and also i thought i would only need a botom set, what top and bottom?? thanks!

i cant afford camber plates, so i want to know if these camber bolts are worth it!! and how to install? anyone? thanks in advance!

Yes I use camber bolts, you cant get much out of them like you can with camber plates.

how much can u adjust? do u got upper and lower? and how easy to install? thanks!

You are not going to get more than 1.0-~2.0 degrees with the camber bolts. They are just bolts, one per side that use the the top bolt hole of the bottom strut mount. Then get alignment.

ok, yeah i think 1.5 is good enough for me, so i only need one set then? sears tell me i need top and bottom? so on the bottom of my kyb's i replace the top of the two bolt holes? a pic would be great if not asking too much, thanks bro!

I've only seen people use one per side, unclear on Sears thoughts. You are correct on the install, the top bolt where the strut mounts to the "spindle". No pic, just put the bolts in turn the bolt to correct setting you want and tighten the nut.

hmm i can set it myself? how so? do they come with engravings to mark how much camber i am setting?

No engravings, you need alignment.

hahaha goood point, actually i checked it out, its eibach and same price, so yeah its obviousl better, i am ordering right now, and again, right on for all the help, case closed!
